Coming Attractions!
One of the best things in my day is waking up and seeing the sunshine trying to creep into my room. It gives me the assurance that there is hope:
Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you!Psalm 27:14 (TPT)
While the day before may not have proved to be all that I wanted it to be, as the sun rises in the east, so does the hope that this day will be better. For when I consider it all, I remember that ultimately God never disappoints! He comes through our circumstances and what looked like a maze, turns out to be a clear cut pathway that led to something better than we can even hope for!
Remember the days when we used to go to the movies (before Covid)? Remember before the featured film began to play the theater would show us coming attractions. So not only did you get excited about what you were going to see, but you also got excited about the next time you would come for you knew something great was in your future.
So too, with our Father. As Chris Tomlin sings:
You’re the God of this city
You’re the King of these people
You’re the Lord of this nation
You areYou’re the light in this darkness
You’re the hope to the hopeless
You’re the peace to the restless
You areThere is no one like our God
There is no one like our GodFor greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this city
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this city… The God of the City

I love that song! God’s promises are true.
