Grateful, Just Grateful…

On this Tuesday, my heart is full. There have been some prayers I have been praying for my family for some time. In the past few days, many of them have begun to blossom. My heart is full of thanksgiving and many lips can only offer praise to the God who answers prayer:

Now thanks be to God for His indescribable gift [which is precious beyond words]! 2 Corinthians 9:15 (AMP)

While the answers to prayer are special to me, someone else might not see how valuable they are. The value comes when there has been a lack, or a drought, and suddenly out of no where you not only see a refreshing stream, but fruit and cheese are laid out to eat on a beautifully decorated tapestry.

I can think back to times when I wondered if I would ever get a prayer through. Yet, the seasons then came where it seemed as if there was a hole in heaven that kept dropping blessings my way.

This is our life. We live through seasons of plenty and seasons of lack; we go through periods of silence and periods when the Word just keeps flowing. God is sovereign, and it is Him that determines the times and the seasons. It is Him that orders our steps. It is Him that gives us indescribable gifts.

Our job is so simple we tend to miss it – just to say thank-you; just to have a grateful heart; just to render the glory to God. I always say, “trouble don’t last always”:

Because you received a double dose of shame and dishonor, you will inherit a double portion of endless joy and everlasting bliss! Isaiah 61:7 (TPT)

Receive it in Jesus Name!
