An ‘Amazing’ Melody!

There are some words from scripture that move the heart like a beautiful melody. One particular passage comes from the book of Romans:

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

¹⁷ For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Romans 1:1sts 6-17 (KJV)

What tremendous truth is found in these words, for there is no greater power sent from God to redeem a life from destruction than that of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Secondly, it is available to all men- there is no respecter of persons – God receives all races, ethnicities, from over the whole world. Third, we are made righteous through Jesus, something we could never attain on our own. And it becomes more apparent to us as we gain more experience in watching how God moves in our lives. We see how He rewards our faith and consequently we want more rewards, so we stretch our faith a little further, until we find that we are living by faith, not by sight. We are trusting God to work every situation out for our good.

A contemporary song says this:

Lord, I’m amazed by You

Lord, I’m amazed by You
How You love me..

Further on it goes like this;

How wide, how deep
How great is Your love for me
How wide, how deep

This is how I feel when I hear Romans 1:16-17 – I feel amazed trying to comprehend this great love God has for me, and not just me, but for the whole world!
