According to Your Measure, So Will Be Your Reward!

There is one thing that we can’t do, no matter how good we are. We cannot determine what is going on in other people’s minds and hearts. It’s funny however, in this climate we live in, it appears that everyone knows exactly what the other person is thinking. We judge everyone’s thoughts and feelings by their religion, their politics, the friends they have on Facebook, Tic Tock and on and on. This is a travesty, because truth be told, most of us don’t even know everything we even feel about our own selves.

This is not a new phenomenon as we can see by the following scripture:

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lorddoes not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV)

Samuel saw the fine appearance of the sons of Jesse and he went through all seven sons to find that not one of them was the one chosen to be anointed as the next king of Israel. Only when the shepherd boy came did the Lord say – this is the one!

We cannot know the thoughts of man, nor can we dictate their future by their present. There are some things relegated only to God. Our mission is to pray, without information, for each person assigned to us to be the person God made them to be. I’m not going to say that this is always easy, but isn’t that how we want others to pray for us? None of us is exempt from being judged, however we can lessen the judgement when we determine by first of all not judging others:

Then he said to them, “Be diligent to understand the meaning behind everything you hear, for as you do, more understanding will be given to you. And according to your longing to understand, much more will be added to you. Mark 4:24 (TPT)
