In Case There Has Been No Good News…

On this bright and glorious Monday morning, in case you have had no good news today, I would like to share some with you:

Like a devoted gardener, I will pour sweet water on parched land, streams on hard-packed ground; I will pour My spirit on your children and grandchildren— and let My blessing flow to your descendants. Isaiah 44:3 (The Voice)

When the world can’t seem to acknowledge anything good, we can always look to God’s Word to remind us that He loves us, He has a plan for us, and that those blessings can and will flow even to our children’s children!

When I was traveling last week on the airplane, I looked out on the clouds and it was as if I saw buildings and even cities. I had never quite seen the clouds formed like that before. My thoughts went to the world I see with my natural eye in this finite world, and I realized that there is much more around me that I don’t have the vision yet to see.

One of my favorite contemporary songs is “Jireh” by Elevation Worship and Maverick City. There is a line in the song that goes

“It may look like I”m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by YOU

Jireh, You are enough!”

These lines come back to me often, for I know that I can see the effects of an unseen coronavirus, but even greater than that is the host of angels that are surrounding me, enveloping me, leading me, keeping me. I have a choice as to what I will focus on, I choose to focus on that heavenly host!

Jesus let His disciples know a truth, that is yet for us today:

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] John 16;33 (AMP)

I’m looking not only for heavenly cities in the sky, but some heavenly peace and overcoming victory right down here!

Maria
