Maybe You Haven’t Been Properly Introduced..

There are times when we come into contact with people of notoriety, not really knowing who they are. When we discover who they are, we look upon them differently, for we see beyond their exterior to what they are known for. Perhaps, you like the Athenians have not really known the “unknown God”:

I have stopped again and again to examine carefully the religious statues and inscriptions that fill your city. On one such altar, I read this inscription: “TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.” I am not here to tell you about a strange foreign deity, but about this One whom you already worship, though without full knowledge. Acts 17:23 (The Voice)

There were many shrines in Athens describing what God they represented. There was one however that said, “to an unknown God”. Paul contended that it was the one true God who they sought to worship without it even knowing it.

While I contend that when you worship the true God, like the old folks used to say: “you ought to show some sign”; however, I will give leeway to say that possibly, just possibly your vocabulary nor your imagination allows for you to know Him, because you haven’t been properly introduced.

John 1:1-4 and 10-12 (KJV) says:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on
his name:

To find His address, there is a remedy for that, travel with for a moment down the Roman Road:

2For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 (KJV)

23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 (KJV)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

1For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)

It’s that simple, this is who He is, this is how to find Him. Consider yourself properly introduced, the unknown God is now known to you, get to really know Him!
