Still Talking About That Priest!

There are days when as much as I know about God’s love, that I have to draw deeper from the wells of salvation. Today is one of those days. Charles Spurgeon noted:

“There beats a heart in heaven that always loves us, a tongue that always pleads for us, an arm that always fights for us.”

These words bring comfort to me. I am so glad for this high priest who is there for us:

Therefore He is able also to save forever (completely, perfectly, for eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede and intervene on their behalf [with God]. Hebrews 7:25(AMP)

We serve a Savior who a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Yet, in His Name we find a Kingdom that says:

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17 (KJV)

When you need to find a shelter from the storms of life; when you need to find a corner to be still; when you need to find a shadow of the glory of our God – turn to our High Priest, our Savior, our Comforter, our Lord – Jesus is His Name.

We are fast approaching Advent – a time set aside to remember that He came- to remember that He is coming again…

Let us rest in His unchanging grace, His unfailing mercy, His everlasting love. Let us pray that men, women, boys, and girls will find Him – and receive His great love.
