Timing Is Everything!

Parents are contemplating what gifts to give their children. Sometimes children want things that are not age appropriate. For example, a new car is a wonderful gift to give a high school or college graduate, but in spite of the value of the gift, giving it to a five year old would be senseless. So too, our Father knows at what times to release certain things to us. He has a measuring stick that is unbeknownst to us, but a wise guide for Him:

And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us

For when the time was right, the Anointed One came and died to demonstrate his love for sinners who were entirely helpless, weak, and powerless to save themselves. Rpmans 5:4-5 (TPT)

God knew exactly what time was the right time for Jesus to step out of eternity past into eternity present. He had measured the times to know what the Christ child would endure, what the Christ man would suffer, and what the risen Christ would unto deliver unto the world.

He knew about Peter and John and Mark and doubting Thomas, even Judas Iscariot who would betray Him. He didn’t count out Saul who would be transformed into the Apostle Paul, nor his young mentee Timothy. God even looked down generations and saw me here on this computer typing away, trying to convey a message that He breathed in me today, “it’s all in His Hands” – fret not! Be anxious for absolutely nothing! God’s got this – yesterday’s troubles, today’s challenges, tomorrow’s hopes – they are tapped and wrapped with a bow, ready to be released in the appropriate time.

For with God, timing itself belongs to Him, not us!

Thanks for this word Maria. God bless you! My friend related a scripture to me after my late husband passed away 10 years ago when we don’t get an answer to our “Why’s” she gave me Deuteronomy 29: 29 “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
