Have You Read This Benefit Package?

The Word of God is full of assurances for the believer that our iives are in His Hands. None is stated better than in the 91st Psalm:

...When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High,
our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm.
How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us?
11 God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go,
    defending you from all harm.
12 If you walk into a trap, they’ll be there for you
    and keep you from stumbling.
13 You’ll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness,[g]
trampling every one of them beneath your feet!
14 For here is what the Lord has spoken to me:
“Because you loved me, delighted in me, and have been loyal to my name,
    I will greatly protect you.
15 I will answer your cry for help every time you pray,
and you will feel my presence
    in your time of trouble.
I will deliver you and bring you honor.
16 I will satisfy you with a full life and with all that I do for you.
For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!” Psalm 91 (TPT)

This is only the end of the this powerful Psalm, but in it we see some powerful promises. Could it really be that we are “shielded from harm, and that no evil or disease can infect us”? Imagine God sending angels to “protect you wherever you go, defending you from all harm“. No trap, no stumbling, not even the “fiercest powers of darkness” can defeat you for you will trample them under your feet.

And finally we see that the love relationship we have with our Lord ensures that we will protect us, and He will answer every time we pray. I love that HE said we “will feel (His) presence when we are in trouble”. And the greatest promise that we will satisfied by “a full life” and “enjoy the fullness of (HIs) salvation”.

On this we can rise in the morning strengthened and encouraged, and rest in the night with peace. It seems as if in every area we’re covered; I don’t know about you but I”ll sign on the bottom line – It’s a benefit package that is more than I could know to ask for, and all that I need.
