Reflections on Valentine’s Day -Short and To The Point!

Valentine’ Day is either a very good celebration day, or a very difficult one – it all depends upon your circumstances. Unless of course you don’t live by what’s going on in your circumstances, and you don’t live by external things defining you – because you live on a higher plane:

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:10 (NLT)

Now this is love – real love! This does not diminish the love that men share with the women they love and vice-versa. This does not take away anything from anyone who enjoyed the blessings of a wonderful Valentine’s Day. What is does to add to everyone who can receive that husband or no husband, wife or no wife – boyfriend or no boyfriend – 40 years in or 40 days in- celebrate all that- but more than that – celebrate that you are really loved by a God who came looking for you. He came out of time into time to let us know the He really loves us – by sacrificing His only Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. No one else can do that for you, no matter how much they love you.

So do we celebrate love on Valentine’s Day – yes – in fact really celebrate your love for your mate or intended – every day! With all your celebrating – remember that you are able to love, because love came down and rescued you from a world of sin and shame; picked you up – set you on a high place where He also freely gave you love – that you can express heart to heart – mate to mate – father to son -mother to daughter – friend to friend.

What a precious gift we have been given – what a precious gift we can give;

“Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy grain and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost [simply accept it as a gift from God]. ISAIAH 55:1 (AMP)
