Walking in Victory!

Scripture helps us to understand that we are not orphans wandering around this world without help or hope. We have been grafted into a family where God is our Father, and He is a good, good Father:

16For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!”17And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that he is and all that he has.  We will experience being co-glorified with him provided that we accept his sufferings  as our own. Romans 8:16-17 (TPT)

We are not just an adopted child who has to crowd in at the family table. Rather we are “God’s beloved child” – we have a chair with our name on it. We have a room of our own and in it is every treasure we need for this life. We can also look forward to inheriting our fair share of the family inheritance, everything that He has is ours! More than that we will one day reign with Him in glory, after the suffering of this world are over.

When we look at things from God’s perspective and plan, we no longer shrink back from the challenges of this life. We press ahead knowing that as Pastor Tony Evans says, “we don’t fight for victory, we are fighting from victory!”. (Evans, Tony, Victory Over Strongholds) The battle has already been won, we are merely in the midst of walking it out! And as we walk, we “know in whom we believe, and we are fully persuaded He is able to keep that which is committed unto Him against that day”, 2 Timothy 1:12

Go, in the strength of God, and in the plan of God -you’ll never fail.
