The Proof Is In the Living!

Talk, by anyone’s standards is cheap. We have the ability to ramble on about anything and everything. In this age of “relative truth” – you don’t have to be an expert, you don’t have to have studied many years in school, whatever you believe – it’s YOUR truth!

If I could get an honest answer, I would ask the question, “how is that working out for you?” Grabbing hold of every doctrine or fable and making it true, does not stand the test of time. For the only thing that will stand is the ultimate truth:

15Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. 16 Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. Titus 1:15-16 (AMP)

The ultimate truth can only be ascertained from a pure heart – a heart cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. Anything else has been corrupted in some way, causing our minds and our consciences to be corrupted. Thus, while a person may say they know God, know truth, and love God -that talk will be betrayed by their life. For not only do we find that “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks“(Luke 6:45) ; but also, “out of the heart flow the issues of life”(Proverbs 4:23)!

Yes, the Word of God is a both a mirror and a reflection of truth. We read of it, and in the mirror we decide if we are going to live it – our life is a reflection of that decision.

A good pudding (life) should not be hard to identify.

Amen! Lord help me to reflect an abundant heart that is full of You so my speech will reflect You.
