Ah, It’s A Good Life…
Every day we are beset with negativity. Wars, crime, marriage break-ups, sickness, disease. It is easy to get a jaded view of life. Yet, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. If we allow negativity to rule our thinking, it will also rule our life.
Instead, we need to think on the promises of God. We need to remember that:
The [boundary] lines [of the land] have fallen for me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me. Psalm 16:6 (AMP)
Opening our eyes to see the good is important. Seeing the pathway we are traveling as strewn with flowers, rather than thorns is essential. It is true that every rose, no matter how beautiful, has thorns. Yet, the beauty of the rose surpasses the prickly thorns. So too, in our lives. Though some roads we travel may be rocky, time and chance happen to us all – we have an opportunity to make a course correction and travel a different path if all we see are rocks and mudslides.
It’s Monday morning – an opportunity to start your work week fresh. You have another chance of mapping this week with a view of pleasant places, beautiful places, God-filled places. Begin your week with praise. Extol the God you serve for His goodness towards you and your family. Be grateful for what you have, not complaining for what you don’t.
We serve a faithful God, who loves us beyond our understanding. Ask Him to dance with you, let Him take the lead.
Maria
