Now Unto HIM…

The Word of God gives us so many rich words that penetrate deep within our soul. One of the more popular doxologies given in church is this:

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 24-25 (KJV)

In this one chapter book of Jude, there is a profound and eternal truth in these words. For only God can keep us from falling into sin, into despair, into rejection, into hopelessness. Only God can keep us
faultless before His Presence, for the only sacrifice that could wash us white as snow was Jesus, and even now our humanity is stained every day – but God sees that we are:

²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Romans 3:24 (KJV)

Only through this redemption can we stand before His presence with “exceeding joy”.

It was God’s infinite wisdom that devised a plan that even we, as fallen mankind, could be redeemed, and only through His power could it be so that we could grafted into His family with all inheritance rights.

Therefore, we not only marvel in His goodness towards us, but we fall before Him at His majesty and declare all glory is due His Name. All dominion, all power, all of our praise, all of our love – goes, “now unto Him“.
