Let’s Start With What’s True…
In this world of cancel culture, people are gropping to find truth. How can one find truth when everything that was once thought to be true, is now on the chopping block? One way we begin to find truth is to use our natural senses and reason. Even with irrefutable evidence, there are still questions in the mind of skeptics. It then becomes necessary for the individual in search of truth to settle on ordinary things and build on it. For example, in Ecclesiastes 11:5 it reads:
Just as you do not know the way and path of the wind or how the bones are formed in the womb of a pregnant woman, even so you do not know the activity of God who makes all things. Ecclesiastes 11:5 (AMP)
Upon examination of this statement made by the wisest man who ever lived until Jesus descend upon the earth, we see right away that though mankind has progressed to know what direction the wind is taking there is still questions of what causes the wind to go in the direction that it does. Likewise to the second point, we can vouch for the stages of life growing in the womb, but what makes those cells divide in the manner that they do? And if you have expert knowledge on the first two, you certainly can’t pretend to know the last point, the point that you will never know the activity of the maker of all things, who is God.
What is the point to making these points? Precisely that as Paul states in 1 Corinthians 13, "we know in part and we prophecy in part, but the n that which is perfect is come…". Many times we get so super confident they are hearing from God that they make all kinds of predictions. Yet this scripture lets us know, that we will never know how God is going to move, nor when and how. We hope to see God move, we even pray that He will move in our behalf in a certain way, but we can never really know – because as sure as He is God He reserves HIs right to be omnipotent, omnipresent, and sovereign.
This does not negate that God will share His secrets with us. Yet, even in that, we must reserve the timing and performance of those things to God. I believe God is going to lead us and guide us particularly in the uncertain times ahead. He will speak to us in various ways – some He will give His long range
